Points expiration
Capital One: Capital One miles never expire as long as your card account remains open.
Miles & Smiles: Turkish Miles & Smiles miles expire 36 months after they're earned, with no extension from activity. Elite status holders get a 60-month window.

Step by step
- 1Open your card and click View RewardsLog in to capitalone.com and open the Venture/Venture X card that earns miles. In the dark card-summary bar, click "View Rewards" under Rewards Miles.
- 2Pick "Transfer rewards"On the "How would you like to use your Miles?" screen, click the Transfer rewards tile (the airplane icon).
- 3Find Miles & Smiles in the partner list and click Transfer MilesCapital One shows featured partners first, then the full list. Scroll to Miles & Smiles — the ratio shown should be 1:1 — and click Transfer Miles on its row.
- 4Enter your name and Miles & Smiles member numberThe Primary Cardholder name must EXACTLY match the name on your Miles & Smiles account, or the transfer can be delayed. Type your member number twice to confirm, then click Next.
- 5Enter the amount and click Complete TransferType how many miles to move (1,000 minimum). The "Equates to" line shows what you'll get in Miles & Smiles miles. Click Complete Transfer. All transfers are final — confirm award availability on Miles & Smiles.com first.
- 6Save the confirmationYou'll see a Success screen with a confirmation code and an email receipt. Capital One transfers usually post within 24 hours but can take longer for some partners.
