Confirm award space on Aeroplan BEFORE you transfer

Transfers are final and cannot be reversed. Open Aeroplan's site in another tab, sign in, and load the exact flight you want at the points price you expect. Come back only when you're ready to redeem.

You can't transfer less than 1,000, and transfers must be in increments of 1,000.
Instant — usually under a minute
This transfer pair is marked instant and typically posts within seconds to a few minutes. Even so, occasional system delays happen — wait until you see the points in your destination account before doing anything else. These are typical times, not guarantees — always confirm award space first because transfers can't be reversed.
Cancellation: cancellation has a fee
$150 CAD redeposit fee (waived on Latitude/Flex Premium fares or Super Elite status).
Fee: ~$110Window: Anytime pre-departureTaxes: Refunded minus fee
Points expiration
Chase UR: Ultimate Rewards points never expire while you hold an eligible Chase card. Close the account and points are forfeited.
Aeroplan: Aeroplan points expire after 18 months of no qualifying activity. Any earn or redeem resets the clock. Aeroplan Elite 35K+ status holders are exempt.
Heads up: your Chase UR points don't expire, but Aeroplan points (after transfer) do.

  5. 5
Choose the recipient and enter your Aeroplan member number
Pick yourself as the recipient (or an authorized household member — names must match Aeroplan exactly). Type your Aeroplan member ID twice to confirm.

Points move in 1,000-point increments. Type the amount and click Continue.
  7. 7
